Vibern

Quick start

This page takes you from nothing to a working session. It takes about five minutes.

What you need

Vibern is a desktop client for Claude Code. Model calls go through your own account, so check two things first:

  1. Claude Code CLI is installed and claude --version prints a version.
  2. You are signed in to a Claude account, or you have an API key ready.

Vibern does not proxy your requests and adds no markup. Every call is made by the Claude Code install on your machine.

Install

Grab the package for your platform from the download page:

  • Windows: the .exe installer walks you through it. Prefer no install? Use the .zip portable build.
  • Linux: download the AppImage, mark it executable and run it. Debian and Ubuntu can use the .deb instead.

The first launch validates your license online. After that it works offline.

Open your first project

The window has three areas: file explorer on the left, editor in the middle, session on the right.

  1. Click Open project in the top left and pick a local code directory.
  2. Describe what you want in the session panel, for example “extract the duplicated logic in main.dart into a function”.
  3. Vibern lists the files it plans to change. Approve them one by one.

Every change shows a diff before it hits disk, so you can reject anything that looks wrong.

The full loop

From question to commit, without leaving the window:
